Nature-themed botanical hikes and herb walks
A knowledgeable botanist and herb expert will guide you through our beautiful surroundings and introduce you to the unique features of the local flora and nature. The hike lasts approximately 2 to 3 hours.
Meeting point: Every Wednesday (May to mid-October) at 10:00 a.m. at the panorama board near Gröblalm.
Karst
This information board at the lakeshore clearly explains what karst is and how this phenomenon forms. Since the Alpen-Caravanpark Tennsee is located in the midst of the Northern Limestone Alps, karst features can be encountered by the observant visitor at every turn. Between Krün and Barmsee, you can admire dolines, eroded limestone along the trails, and even many humpback meadows are karst phenomena.
The information boards were developed by the Krün-based company GEO-TRIP® run by Josef and Vera Karner. The Karner couple, who have been planning and implementing educational trails for years, also offer guided tours for young and old.
